| " Book Le Beffroi
at Le Puech Haut for a holiday if you must”, said Jane
and David, our guests with their four boys last year, “but
once you get there, be prepared to never want to leave….
It is a beautiful property in a beautiful place...you have
been warned!" |
 |
“ This”, they said “is
the holiday home you always wished you had. The only thing
wrong with it is,
it belongs to someone else!"

| Peace and tranquillity
in an elegantly restored Tarn farmhouse.
Le Puech Haut and
our guest house Le Beffroi are
in the commune of Roquemaure, in the
hills of the Tarn near Rabastens.
Le Puech Haut (The House on the Hill) was
until 1990 a working farm with a large traditional farmhouse
and separate outbuildings,
barns, cowsheds and
stables. Now these structures have been thoughtfully and
lovingly renovated to provide a luxurious 4-bedroom
house, a 3-bedroom chartreuse plus a guardian cottage and
staff accommodation, with all the up-to-date conveniences
that are needed for a stress-free life.
This is the perfect house for a family
holiday,
| either
for extended families or for several families or generations
to take together. The fifty metres between
the two houses, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space
for both children and adults, and with two bedrooms
on the ground floor, means that each family or each
generation can be comfortable, and see as much or as
little of each other as they wish. |

“So often you see pictures
advertising a place, and the reality you find upon
your arrival is far worse than the pictures suggested.
In the case of
Le
Puech Haut and Le Beffroi, the direct opposite could not
be more
true: the pictures, though admittedly promising, do not
capture even a fraction of the beauty of the setting and
of superb
accommodations in store. This was a dream holiday that
excelled even our dream. A fabulous location with serene
privacy,
outstanding views, and commodious living spaces, all set
within one of
the most gorgeous and fascinating regions of France. We
generally have high standards, but we could not recommend
this more
enthusiastically.“
